Let’s Talk: A Healing Room Where Women Rose Together
Event Recap – Sunday, June 29 | By CamilReign
Walking into the Let’s Talk Women’s Empowerment Conference this past Sunday, June 29, I expected to be inspired—but I never anticipated the level of healing, truth, and sisterhood that would unfold. Hosted in an intimate setting that immediately felt like home, the room became more than just a venue—it became a safe space, and for many of us, a sanctuary.
Founded by Teneeah “Mrz Joyner”, a mother, wife, author, and entrepreneur behind Shirley’s Fried Ice Cream, the Let’s Talk Conference was more than an event. It was a lifeline. Her mission—IMME: Inspiring, Motivating, Empowering, and Encouraging Every Woman to Rise—was not just printed on a flyer. It was felt in every testimony, every tear, and every moment of shared silence.
The conversations were real, raw, and unapologetically necessary. From topics like healing from trauma, to dealing with family and business, to confidence, faith, and facing the realities of entrepreneurship—it all came to the surface. And not in a way that was polished or scripted. This wasn’t a conversation amongst successful women trying to impress. This was women choosing to be vulnerable, breaking down walls we didn’t even know we still had up.
Tears flowed freely. Not just from sadness, but from release. We cried for the little girls inside us who never felt heard. We cried for the women we’ve become who are still learning how to ask for help. And then, we lifted one another— through truth, through love, and through laughter.
Mrz Joyner’s own story, rooted in perseverance and self-discovery, set the tone for what this conference is all about: breaking silence, building community, and reminding every woman that she is not alone. Whether it was your first time or you’ve been following the movement city to city, it was impossible to leave untouched.
What made Let’s Talk so powerful was not just the agenda or the speakers (though they were phenomenal). It was the atmosphere—one that said, “Come as you are, and let’s rise together.” And in that room, filled with strangers turned sisters, we did exactly that.
