Rolling Out celebrated its cover star, Carlos King, with “Cover Conversations with Carlos King,” hosted by Lex P of Pour Minds. Dressed in all white, he stood beside a framed print of his Rolling Out cover, headlined “The King of Reality TV,” as guests gathered in Atlanta for an evening centered on pop culture, media, and fashion.

During the conversation, King reflected on the career turning point that led him to leave his previous reality television role and create Love & Marriage: Huntsville. He shared:

“When it comes to Love & Marriage: Huntsville, I will say that show will be my legacy. I never said this until today.”

King also made clear that his focus remains on the present. He spoke about working harder now than ever and still loving what he does. As he put it, “I want to talk about what I’m doing today.”

He also touched on the scale of his current chapter, running a production company while creating shows and podcasts. On the workload, he put it simply: "It doesn't feel like work because I love it." Even now, he added, he still feels he has to prove himself — and would rather talk about what he is building today than rest on what he has already done.

The evening spotlighted a media figure whose influence on reality television and pop culture remains in motion.
